First weekend to ourselves

Well since getting back from our wedding in the USA, we've been run off our feet. There are people to catch up with, and errands to run, and work every day of the week. Stephanie even worked all Labour weekend which is a three day weekend.
But, last weekend Richard moved on to a flat around the corner. So we almost had a place to ourselves for the first time in a while. Ken needed somewhere to stay as he has just bought a house, but couldn't move in until yesterday.
However the week of work ended and last night Steph and I came home to our own place. It was quite a strange feeling to have the place to ourselves. Richard often worked nights so we wouldn't see him for long periods, but I guess it just felt more real that we were alone.
So, to celebrate and talk about what we wanted to do with the house, we stopped in at the supermarket on the way home. We got two big steaks for ourselves, some chicken kebabs, some garlic bread and some veges and had a bbq on the back lawn. It was really nice. The weather was great (summer is here/ nearly here) and we chatted and enjoyed our really good food. Even Darcy got a bit of juicy steak, he was happy!
